A group of space pirates (searching for, of all things, the titular ice) kidnap a princess from a ship they're pillaging. They end up getting captured and are forced to look for the princesses lost father. Through their sci-fi/action/adventure they encounter strange creatures, the strangest of all is Bruce Vilanch, who gives an absolutely dreadful performance.
This was an okay campy movie. It wasn't my bag, as I'm not a huge fan of adventure movies. Yet there was something endearing about the awful special effects and the silly characters (minus Bruce Vilanch). I would guess that this movie is an influence on Red Dwarf, one of my favorite tv shows. If that's the case then that alone justifies this flicks existence.
This movie didn't really hold my attention very well. I should probably just stay away from adventure movies. This one had a heavy Star Wars influence, with some pirate shit thrown in for good measure. Not bad, not great.
