IMDB

Claudette Colbert stars as a socialite who runs away from her father. On her way to New York, she ends up sitting next to a journalist, played by Clark Gable. Gable and Colbert are at odds from the moment they meet. Gable is aghast at how little she knows about the outside world. When she gets all of her money stolen, besides $4.85, he decides to help her out. They begin to fall in love and Gable hurries to New York to write an article about how she's not going to marry a king (or maybe a man named King), but she gets kicked out of the motel they're staying at and calls her father.
This is a good movie, but not as funny as I was hoping. There is one definite classic scene: Claudette Colbert hiking up her skirt and flashing her leg to hitch a ride. There are laughs and it's a cute story. Nothing mind blowing, but totally inoffensive and most definitely worth watching. Also, the inclusion of an auto-gyro (a helicopter, but also an airplane) made me laugh.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
