Jackass was a show on MTV born out of the classic CKY videos and Johnny Knoxville's video of himself testing various things (mace, stun gun). This is the hardcore movie version of said show. It's a collection of skits or stunts (whatever you want to call them) of the guys getting hurt, doing stupid shit, fucking with dangerous animals and the like.
There's two types of people in this world: those who love Jackass and those who hate it. I love it. I think it's very funny and I feel the reason it works is that a) the guys are at least semi-likable and charming b) it's directed like a skateboard video c) they never stay too long with one particular skit. Sure, when this movie came out perhaps we had enough of these guys, but in hindsight it's a perfectly put together movie. The climax is Ryan Dunn putting a toy car in his ass and getting an x-ray. The doctors reaction to it is wonderful.
I know some people out there will give this a really low score, maybe even a zero. To wax Snoop Doggian, those people can eat a bag of baby dicks.
I'm giving this a 10 and I'm going to give the other Jackass movies 10's to, so fuck you.
