This movie was built up quite a bit, so I was expecting more. Keep that in mind, readers.
Cable Hogue is a man who is left for dead when his partners turn on him, take his water and his horse. He wanders the desert in search of water.
He finds water, and sets up an oasis. He meets a preacher, who watches the land when he goes to claim it. Now Cable waits for his partners to turn up in order to get revenge.
Okay, so I had to watch this movie in three installments. Perhaps that hurt it a little. Overall, I found it somewhat likable, yet overly long and filled with songs that I could have done without. This movie will definitely have its fans, but I'm not one of them. It's above average at least and very well directed.
