IMDB
American journalist Steve Martin (Raymond Burr, not the comedian)is visiting Tokyo to cover a story. Another bigger story breaks out instead, a giant lizard attacks destroying the city. A doctor creates an oxygen bomb that can kill Godzilla.
This is a mash-up of Gojira and clips of Raymond Burr. The narration by Burr is so awful that it makes you root for his death, but it doesn't happen. The clips of Burr that are inter-spliced are ill fitting at best. The scenes from Gojira are excellent, though. Watching this near travesty has inspired me to watch the original soon. I'm going to give it a 6 because it has its moments, even though it's full of ill-advised additional footage to make the flick easier to swallow for an American audience.
6/10
