IMDB

David Rice (Hayden Christensen) learns that he can teleport himself while drowning in an icy pond. Using his new power he escapes from home and robs a bank. He spends his time "jumping" from one exotic location to the next.
Roland (Samuel L. Jackson) hunts jumpers along with his group of paladins. When David meets up with Roland, he decides to run. He meets up with an old flame and they fly to Rome, trying to lay low.
While at the Coliseum, David is attacked by paladins, but meets another jumper, Griffin. David sends his girlfriend home, while trying to convince Griffin to team up. Eventually they team up and go after Roland and the other paladins.
As silly as it may be, this movie is actually pretty fun. The special effects are excellent and actually drive the movie quite a bit. My personal favorite thing in the movie is when they jump cars or other large objects.
The ending of the flick is pretty awful. It sets up for a sequel that is supposed to come out in 2011. Hopefully it doesn't get put on the back-burner because I'm pretty interested.
I cannot fully recommend this movie, but if you're looking for a fun, mindless sci-fi/action movie you could do much worse. Hayden Christensen is a pretty one dimensional actor, but that didn't bother me that much. It seems that it bothered a lot of people on IMDB.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
