A space shuttle from Earth lands on Altair IV to investigate why a group of scientists haven't been heard from in a while. They find that all but two are dead, Dr. Morbius and his daughter Altaira. The crew of horny astronauts hit on Altaira, while they learn about the planets past from Dr. Morbius. An invisible creature attacks them.
This was a pretty strong 50s sci-fi picture. The sets and effects were excellent. This was a pretty big budgeted movie back in the day (over $1 million!). I have a hard time getting into sci-fi movies. I find that they are usually boring, or at least have a slow stretch in the middle. This movie wasn't boring, but there certainly isn't a lot of action. Robbie the Robot is pretty cool, although he looks like a trash can with a typewriter for a head.
