IMDB
Radio singer Glory Eden (Ginger Rogers) presents herself as pure as the spokesperson for Ippsie-Wippsie Washcloths. In reality she just wants to be a wild girl. In order to appease her, the sponsor chooses a hick from Kentucky to be her pr boyfriend. They push them into getting married and she tells him that she wants out of her life. This leads to him finding that she lied to him and is crazy. He "tames" her and they try to work out their business matters.
This is not a bad film, but it has one of the absolute worst endings I have seen. It's one of those abrupt endings where somebody makes a bad joke and people laugh as it fades out. Usually that sort of thing is saved for cartoons like the Flintstones Kids. Awful ending aside, this movie has a weird tone. It has a man trying to tame a wild woman, domestic violence, racism and arranged marriage, which I have to assume is all satirical. It's kind of hard to tell with movies from this era.
Couldn't find a poster so I put a screen shot.
