IMDB

A group of marines take control of a German submarine in order to steal secret codes. In this submarine they have to fight off enemies and deal with getting depth charges dropped upon them.
I thought this was directed by Katherine Bigelow, but I had this mistaken with K-19: The Widowmaker. I am glad I watched this. It's the first (and possibly only) submarine movie I've ever seen.
This movie has an odd collection of actors, most of whom I dislike (Bon Jovi, McConaughey, Bill Paxton). They all manage to pull in a solid performance. I'm sure this movie is fairly inaccurate and isn't a tale of morality like many other war films. It's still good fun and fairly tense.

7.5/10

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
