IMDB
Frank Whaley is the town liar. He gets fired from his job as a dog groomer and gets hired as the janitor at Target. He's having a great time, skating around the store in his underwear and eating candy bars when he runs into Jennifer Connelly. They went to school together, but she was popular and treated him poorly. Now they have all night to get reaquainted in an after hours Target. That is, until two wanted murderers show up. Shenanigans ensue.
Now a bad movie. I remember watching this quite a bit when I was a kid. Maybe it was for Jennifer Connelly, but it was probably because I though Frank Whaley was funny. He's not a bad actor, but he doesn't get a lot of big parts. His best role is probably in Swimming with Sharks.
The movie kind of meanders. Each act kind of goes off in a different direction. The first act you get acquainted with Frank Whaley as he gets his new job. Then he and Jennifer Connelly hang out and discuss their lives. Then the murderers show up. So it never really gets boring and maintains a steady pace.
7/10
