IMDB

A young girl runs away from her cruel, slave driving uncle, who owns a bamboo shade factory.  She heads to Saigon and gets a job selling flowers.  Soon she is taken in by a kind and beautiful flight attendant.  She attempts to play matchmaker with her and a man who works at the zoo and to create a surrogate family.
A very good movie.  This movie has a different look because it uses digital film and, I believe, natural light.  I really enjoyed the story, although it is somewhat a feel-good story, but I do like to feel good.  Good performances, especially from the little girl.  An enjoyable film.

Rating Scale Explanation

The rating scale is simple. 1 is the worst 10 is the best and 5 is mediocre. 5.5 or greater is a movie that I at least find enjoyable. You could also think of 5 as a zero and 1 as a negative 5. I feel like that sounds even more convoluted.
