IMDB
Jean-Paul Belmondo stars as Josselin Beaumont, a French secret service agent who was double crossed by his country on an assassination attempt of an African president. After being detained for two years he escapes and heads back to Paris in order to get revenge and take out the president he was supposed to assassinate to begin with.
The opening of the movie could have been a little more exciting, but after Beaumont gets back to Paris things really pick up. After the first 15-20 minutes, I would have compared it to any stupid 80s action movie, but it really ended up being more of a spy thriller like Bourne Identity, which is a movie I found boring. This was pretty exciting at times and had a few really funny one liners. Definitely worth seeing if your an 80s action movie enthusiast or if you want to see the guy from Breathless beating the shit out of people. Soundtrack/only song in the movie by Ennio Morricone.
It also is nice seeing a real movie, not CGI bullshit. I try really hard not to get down on CGI often, but it really takes a human element out of some movies. The car chase in this movie -- in front of the Eiffel Tower -- is better than any lame CGI Fast and Furious car scene.
8/10
