IMDB
Two psychopaths make their way across the country and leave a trail of dead bodies. In three weeks they kill over 50 people. Maybe over 60, I do not remember.
This movie is pretty crazy in every sense of the word. There is crazy shit going on at all times. Thousands of crazy edits, cuts between different cameras and shit being projected onto various background surfaces. It makes for a pretty jarring experience.
The performances are pretty fantastic, especially that of Tommy Lee Jones. He is absolutely hilarious. Harrelson and Lewis are really good, also. Robert Downey Jr. is fantastic as always.
The script was originally written by Quentin Tarrantino, but Stone messed with it enough for Tarrantino to ask for his name to be removed from the film. I think much of what he wrote is still in the film.
This movie is not for everybody, but it is a very good film. The director's cut is really where it's at. There is a lot of added humor to the film. In theory, this movie is a comedy. It's overblown and completely ridiculous in nearly every way.
8/10
