Rush Hour 3 (2007)
Directed by Brett Ratner
Written by Jeff Nathanson
IMDB
Rush Hour 3 follows the further exploits of Jackie Chan and his short-fused bigot partner, played by Chris Tucker. When Jackie's brother from the wrong side of the tracks shows up, he turns their world upside down. They head to Paris and solve a crime while they perform b-rate Abbot and Costello bits.
While Rush Hour 3 is very far from a good movie, it is fairly entertaining. Chris Tucker's angry bigot cop routine is sort of funny and sort of obnoxious. Jackie Chan has been too old to be making these kind of action movies since Rush Hour 1 came out, but I can't help but like him.
This movie was 87 minutes, which means it was really fast-paced. That's a good thing for a comedy or an action movie, or one starring Chris Tucker. I don't understand how this movie cost $140 million. I guess it's because they had to destroy the Eiffel Tower.
